The Kandiyohi County Food Shelf has been helping Kandiyohi County residents since 1982.
Most households live paycheck to paycheck and just one bad event such as getting laid off, a health issue or a death in the family and they are seeking our help.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to help relieve the suffering from hunger by providing food assistance.
Hours:
Curbside: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8am-3:45pm and Friday's 8am-2pm - Pull up to the stop sign by our front door and give us a call when you are here. There's a sign posted on the front of our building with our phone number on it.
In Person: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday's 10am-3pm and Friday's 10am-1pm - *You need to bring your own bags and boxes* Park across street or in our parking lot and come in.
Delivery is an option for those that don't drive or don't have anyone to pick up the food for you. Call us at 235-2641 to schedule a delivery.
**You can assign a proxy to come pick up your food if you are unable to come to the Food Shelf. Give us a call 235-2641 and let us know who you would like put on your account as a proxy. If you have never been to the Food Shelf, you will need to come in the first time to register and then you can assign a proxy.**
We are closed the following Holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Veterans Day,Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and we close at noon on New Years Eve. If any of these Holiday's fall on a Sunday, we will observe them on Monday.
**We follow the Willmar Public School closure and early/late starts due to bad weather.**

Foxhole Pay It Forward Fundraiser
Thursday March 30 4pm-9pm. Every pint sold the Food Shelf gets $1.
